Film Portraiture

Beginning with his father’s Pentax K1000, Rainer has been photographing his friends, family, and peers throughout New York, from Manhattan’s¬†Lower East Side to Queens to upstate New York. The film used includes ILFORD, Tri-X, Portra, Kodak Gold, FujiFilm Superia, Lomography and an assortment of expired film. Some film was generously donated by Jack Cahill.

Digital Freelance

Since December 2016, Rainer has been a freelance reporter and photographer for the Villager, photographing events like the 2016 Tompkins Square Park Christmas tree lighting and former U.S. attorney¬†Preet Bharara’s lecture in April 2017 at Cooper Union.
